Hanne Grice of Hanne Grice Pet Training & Behaviour has been named Animal Behaviourist of the Year in the independently judged Global 100 Awards 2027.
It is Hanne’s third Global 100 Animal Behaviourist of the Year title, following wins in 2022 and 2026, and her second consecutive win. The award comes as the practice celebrates 20 years in business.

Organised by GPMG, the Global 100 Awards recognise businesses and professionals across sectors worldwide. An independent panel assesses entrants against published criteria, including the complexity of their work, professional performance, sector impact and innovation.
“Receiving this award for a third time, and in consecutive years, is a lovely way to mark 20 years,” said Hanne.
“I’m hugely grateful to all my clients who trust me with their animals, the veterinary professionals who support collaborative casework, and the students who keep asking excellent questions. Obviously, the animals continue to be some of our finest teachers, and several prefer payment in cheese!”
Twenty years of clinical practice and education
Hanne founded Hanne Grice Pet Training & Behaviour in 2006 and has since worked with several thousand clients and their dogs, cats and small animals.
Her clinical work covers aggression, fear, anxiety, separation-related problems, sound sensitivities and behaviour associated with frustration or possible physical discomfort. Assessment considers health, emotional state, learning history, environment, welfare and the human-animal relationship, with veterinary liaison where appropiate.
Hanne Grice Dip, BA (Hons), MSc (Distinction) is an Animal Behaviour and Training Council Registered Clinical Animal Behaviourist (ABTC-CAB), Certified Training Instructor and Full Member of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors (APBC). Full APBC members are qualified, assessed and regulated against ABTC standards.
Hanne has served as an APBC assessor of Clinical Animal Behaviourists and spent three and a half years on the ABTC Board of Trustees. She subsequently received ABTC Honorary Individual Member status for her contribution to the organisation and wider sector.
Her professional memberships and affiliations also include PPG, TCBTS, APDT USA, IAABC, ASAB and BVBA.
As an Animal Sciences Lecturer at University Centre Bishop Burton, Hanne teaches at MSc level across animal behaviour consulting, human-animal interactions and psychology, and animal behaviour and welfare. She is the author of Playing With Your Dog, has peer-reviewed academic submissions and provides animal behaviour commentary for national media.
Based in Tring, Hertfordshire, the practice provides clinical behaviour consultations, puppy and dog training, professional mentoring and recognised online education. In-person services cover parts of Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Oxfordshire, with virtual support available more widely.
