Walk the Dog’s Hanne Grice was asked to join Bill Turnball and Louise Minchin with Bryan Morris from Wiltshire Fire & Rescue on the BBC Breakfast sofa this week.
The hot topic was the bad weather conditions leading to how many pets getting into difficulty falling through icy waters, with owners then having to be rescued themselves. Some recent cases have seen fatalies with both dog and owner.
Hanne discussed what drives owners to behave these ways, how to avoid these situations and also looked at the alternatives for pet owners during the current extreme weather conditions.
